Video Chat with People from Kuwait
Kuwait is compact, and much of life happens in and around Kuwait City, Salmiya, Hawalli, Jahra and the coastal suburbs heading south toward Fahaheel. Arabic is the official language, spoken locally in a Gulf dialect, and English is widely used at work, in shops and across the country's large international community. That means someone you meet from Kuwait could just as easily speak Hindi, Malayalam, Tagalog or Egyptian Arabic at home.
On UTC+3 with no clock changes, Kuwait is three hours ahead of London in winter, and in the hot months much of social life moves into the late evening. Good topics include the seafront and the Kuwait Towers, the old Souq Al-Mubarakiya, boat trips to Failaka Island, machboos and fresh Gulf fish, and football. Diwaniyas, regular evening gatherings where friends and neighbors talk for hours, are a big part of local life and well worth asking about. If you'd like your matches to come from Kuwait, choose it in the country filter, and our Oman page covers another Gulf neighbor.

Tips for chatting with people from Kuwait
- Late evenings are prime time, especially in summer, so meeting people from Kuwait close to midnight local time is completely normal.
- Many residents come from abroad, so ask "Where's home for you?" instead of assuming; it often leads to a great story.
- If someone asks "shlonak?", a simple "zein" (good) and the same question back works perfectly.
- In the cooler months many families go desert camping; asking about a favorite spot or what they cook outdoors is an easy conversation starter.
Only meet people from Kuwait
Omlet matches you Worldwide by default. To meet only people from Kuwait, use the country filter, the only filter Omlet has:
- Open Omlet and press Country on the control panel.
- Search for Kuwait and select it.
- Press Start. Press Next to meet someone else from Kuwait, or switch back to Worldwide any time.
Your first day is free: you add a card through Stripe to start it, and nothing is charged that day. When the 24 hours end, the country filter costs $3 one time, charged to that card, unless you cancel before then in Settings (if you cancel, you can still pick a country until the day ends). It's not a subscription, and it stays unlocked on that device and browser. It doesn't carry over to other devices or browsers, and clearing your browser data removes it. There's one free day per device, home network and card. Payment goes through Stripe, so Omlet never sees your card number.
The filter works both ways, and matching can be slower when fewer people from Kuwait are online. Chatting itself is free, and Worldwide matching never costs anything.
Your own country is detected automatically and shown to the people you meet as a flag.
