Video Chat with People from Pakistan
Pakistan runs on Pakistan Standard Time (UTC+5) with no daylight saving, so a 9 PM chat in Karachi or Lahore lands in the late afternoon in London and around midday in New York. You could meet someone from Karachi on the Arabian Sea, Lahore with its old city and food streets, green Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad or the mountain valleys of Hunza and Skardu.
Urdu is the national language and English is official, widely used in business, media and higher education; many people also grow up speaking Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, Saraiki or Balochi. Cricket is the obvious opener, and the PSL gives fans plenty to debate. Food talk runs deep too: biryani, nihari, karahi, chapli kebab and endless cups of chai. Music fans might bring up Coke Studio sessions or classic ghazals, and travel talk often turns to the Karakoram Highway and the lakes and peaks of Gilgit-Baltistan. Our Urdu phrase guide covers greetings and polite forms.

Tips for chatting with people from Pakistan
- Urdu and English mix freely, so don't be surprised when a sentence starts in one and ends in the other.
- Use 'aap' (the polite 'you') with someone new, and add 'ji' for warmth: 'Ji, bilkul' means 'Yes, absolutely.'
- Ask about their favorite PSL team or cricketer; it's one of the easiest ways to get a conversation rolling.
- Ask about food in their city: Lahore's food streets, Karachi biryani and Peshawar's chapli kebab are all proud local topics.
- Mango season, roughly late spring through summer, is a beloved topic; ask which variety they think is best.
Only meet people from Pakistan
Omlet matches you Worldwide by default. To meet only people from Pakistan, use the country filter, the only filter Omlet has:
- Open Omlet and press Country on the control panel.
- Search for Pakistan and select it.
- Press Start. Press Next to meet someone else from Pakistan, or switch back to Worldwide any time.
Your first day is free: you add a card through Stripe to start it, and nothing is charged that day. When the 24 hours end, the country filter costs $3 one time, charged to that card, unless you cancel before then in Settings (if you cancel, you can still pick a country until the day ends). It's not a subscription, and it stays unlocked on that device and browser. It doesn't carry over to other devices or browsers, and clearing your browser data removes it. There's one free day per device, home network and card. Payment goes through Stripe, so Omlet never sees your card number.
The filter works both ways, and matching can be slower when fewer people from Pakistan are online. Chatting itself is free, and Worldwide matching never costs anything.
Your own country is detected automatically and shown to the people you meet as a flag.
