Video Chat with People from Slovenia
Slovenia fits Alps, caves, vineyards and a short stretch of Adriatic coast into a country you can cross in an afternoon. People you meet might be in Ljubljana, the green, bike-friendly capital, in Maribor near the wine hills, in Celje or Kranj, by Lake Bled and Bohinj, or in Piran on the coast. Slovene is the national language and still uses a special dual form for talking about exactly two of something. English is very widely spoken, and Italian and Hungarian are official in some border areas.
When it's 9 PM in Ljubljana, it's noon in Los Angeles and 8 PM in London. Outdoor life is a big topic: hiking up Triglav, rafting the emerald Soča, skiing, or watching ski jumping at Planica. Sports fans may bring up cyclists Tadej Pogačar and Primož Roglič or basketball star Luka Dončić. Food-wise, ask about kremšnita cream cake from Bled, potica, štruklji or Carniolan sausage. And if you were actually looking for Slovenia's near-namesake, our Slovakia page is the one you want. Prefer Worldwide? That works too; the country filter is there for when you want Slovenia specifically.

Tips for chatting with people from Slovenia
- Mountain huts are a Slovenian institution; ask which one serves the best soup after a long climb and you'll get real recommendations.
- Slovenia and Slovakia are different countries, and getting it right on the first try earns instant goodwill.
- Slovene's dual form means "we two" and "we all" are different words; asking someone to show you is a fun mini-lesson.
- Sports small talk works well, especially cycling in July and basketball whenever the national team is playing.
Only meet people from Slovenia
Omlet matches you Worldwide by default. To meet only people from Slovenia, use the country filter, the only filter Omlet has:
- Open Omlet and press Country on the control panel.
- Search for Slovenia and select it.
- Press Start. Press Next to meet someone else from Slovenia, or switch back to Worldwide any time.
Your first day is free: you add a card through Stripe to start it, and nothing is charged that day. When the 24 hours end, the country filter costs $3 one time, charged to that card, unless you cancel before then in Settings (if you cancel, you can still pick a country until the day ends). It's not a subscription, and it stays unlocked on that device and browser. It doesn't carry over to other devices or browsers, and clearing your browser data removes it. There's one free day per device, home network and card. Payment goes through Stripe, so Omlet never sees your card number.
The filter works both ways, and matching can be slower when fewer people from Slovenia are online. Chatting itself is free, and Worldwide matching never costs anything.
Your own country is detected automatically and shown to the people you meet as a flag.
