Video Chat with People from Armenia
Armenia is a mountainous country where much of life centers on Yerevan, a capital built largely from rosy volcanic stone that earned it the nickname "the Pink City." Beyond it, people live in Gyumri, known for its artists and sense of humor, in leafy Dilijan, around Lake Sevan, or in southern towns near the Wings of Tatev cable car. Armenian, with an alphabet found nowhere else, is the national language; Russian is widely understood, and plenty of younger adults chat comfortably in English.
Armenia stays on UTC+4 all year: when Yerevan is settling into the evening at 8 PM, Californians are having breakfast and Londoners are finishing their afternoon in winter. Easy topics include khorovats barbecue, lavash baked in a clay tonir oven, sweet apricots, and the haunting sound of the duduk. Chess is a genuine national passion, so ask if they play. Armenian communities live all over the world, and you might hear about relatives in Los Angeles, Paris or Beirut. Omlet's country filter includes Armenia if you'd like every match to come from there, and our Georgia page covers the northern neighbor.

Tips for chatting with people from Armenia
- Casual Armenian borrows a few words from other languages, and "merci" is a common way to say thanks; it's a fun detail to ask about.
- Ask for travel tips: the Tatev cable car, Lake Sevan at sunrise or Dilijan's forests are places locals love recommending.
- If chess comes up, ask about their favorite player or opening; it's a topic many Armenians enjoy.
- If you're in North America, your evening is the small hours in Armenia, so your morning is the best time to find people there awake and up for a chat.
Only meet people from Armenia
Omlet matches you Worldwide by default. To meet only people from Armenia, use the country filter, the only filter Omlet has:
- Open Omlet and press Country on the control panel.
- Search for Armenia and select it.
- Press Start. Press Next to meet someone else from Armenia, or switch back to Worldwide any time.
Your first day is free: you add a card through Stripe to start it, and nothing is charged that day. When the 24 hours end, the country filter costs $3 one time, charged to that card, unless you cancel before then in Settings (if you cancel, you can still pick a country until the day ends). It's not a subscription, and it stays unlocked on that device and browser. It doesn't carry over to other devices or browsers, and clearing your browser data removes it. There's one free day per device, home network and card. Payment goes through Stripe, so Omlet never sees your card number.
The filter works both ways, and matching can be slower when fewer people from Armenia are online. Chatting itself is free, and Worldwide matching never costs anything.
Your own country is detected automatically and shown to the people you meet as a flag.
